Finishing up the last chapter, and I have to say, I appreciate how much they make edelgard unambiguously, no grey area, just the most evil person ever. Despite that, you're free to join her on a warmonger path and support her as a tyrant. It's kind of a breath of fresh air after having corrin support a mad king and having "but corrin is still a really good guy and really kind" being forced into every nook in the story. I also like how the route itself uses propoganda to make it seem like the church is evil to the actual players of the game. When I first learned of the route, I remember a bunch of comments of people who smugly were saying they picked this route because they "knew the church was evil" which means this is a game that actually manages to radicalize its own players into people who commit atrocites and think they're making the right choice. Its actually geniunely scary in concept and I don't think I have ever played a game that successfully did that ---
