Write-Up: Anytime I hear this song I immediately think of the Weird Al parody and it is absolutely impossible for me to hear the original in a way that I should be. It's basically Bias but you're cool with that from time to time right? :P I still like this song a bit and it is a true classic for sure. It only topped the charts for a month but hovered in the top 20 or so for another couple months after that. It was also credited for being the longest song to ever reach #1. The song was written as an homage to Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens who were killed in a famous plane crash in 1959.
