Males can train Lance & Riding alongside either magic skill and go for Holy Knight or Dark Knight. Edit: There are at least some goods worth having in story chests - a Move+1 ring in one of the early chapters, IIRC, and I think several of the A-rank "___ of Zoltan" weapons are in chests. --- I don't like this duchy.
