You may have picked up on this, but starting with Fate/Zero vs Fate/Stay Night is somewhat of a charged topic with the fanbase, sort of like the Haruhi fanbase with broadcast vs chronological watch order on that show. (Full disclosure: I am on the side of starting with Fate/Stay Night and think that it does matter, although admittedly I wouldn't say it matters a lot.) Yeah I've seen that debate a lot, and tbh my original plan for a long time was to read the VN as my first time going into Fate, because it sounded like the Deen anime isn't worth watching, but UBW anime kinda really wants you to have either read the VN or watched Zero. But it's easier to commit to Fate/Zero than it is to reading the VN lol. --- "Let's all go play nagasaki. We can all get vaporized. Hold my hand, let's turn to ash.
