He's giving a damn about the main plot and wanting to solve it, which is something I feel this cast really lacks overall. It was fine in DR1 when I knew nothing and learned things along with the kids, but here the kids know nothing and I have to wait them catch up to me. Well, at least they're more involved in the trials these days. They make DR1 cast look vegetative in contrast..
