In general I thought it was pretty common to expect to do 1/2 the time you are originally given, as long as you keep your nose clean (do not even believe you need to do work etc inside, but just not...like stab anyone etc). Ahh, I looked it up, and it's state by state, in some states it can even be as little as 1/3rd of the original sentence served. I have just lived in states where that was at least 50%.
