In case youre unfamiliar or forgot, this is the case in which the police officer (Amber Guyger) mistakenly went into Botham Jeans apartment, believing it to be her own. Once she realized someone was in the apartment, she shot him in self defense. Botham Jean was not a criminal under investigation and was simply in his apartment. In fact he was a literal choir boy who sang in the choir at his church and worked as an accountant for PWC, one of the big 4 accounting firms. The shooting was the night of September 6th, 2018.
