Topic	Does the general public still think of Nintendo as the "kiddy" company

My housemate is BIG MAD about the Switch at every opportunity and scoffs at the idea of me playing it. He was PISSED when he found out about Witcher 3 being ported, and didnt understand when I told me that people value portability over all else. But he also thinks Breath of the Wild looks and plays like shit, so idk what to do with him. Has he tried playing it?
