| Topic | Does the general public still think of Nintendo as the "kiddy" company |

Sometimes they hit the "family" vibe just right with things like Super Mario Odyssey, and the n sometimes its just a little TOO kiddie like the new Yoshi game. I was excited to try it, but it's very very very easy and just didn't seem to have much depth to it compared to things like Odyssey, who I got bored. A small child would probably dig it though. The latest Zelda game literally looks like all the characters and objects are plastic toys. Let's not forget about the strange "yarn" phase they went through with those Yoshi and Kirby games. I don't mind there being family-friendly games for kids and adults who love bright colors and childlike aesthetics........but I really wish Nintendo would make some darker experiences for other gamers. Astral Chain and stuff like that is a step in the right direction, but as of right now....all the good mature games on Nintendo....are ports from the other consoles. And seriously. Where. The. Fuck.
