Most games in general over the last decade or so are known for odd glitches and bugs early in release. It's the curse of a development culture that can go "Ehh, we'll Day 1 patch it so no need for it to be perfect." It's one of the problems I called becoming a thing way back when online connectivity for consoles first became a thing. The WWE games generally haven't been any worse than any other games, though. And there've been incremental improvements in graphics and stuff (even if the writing is terrible), helped by the fact that it's basically been running on the same engine for years, so they've worked a lot of the bugs out long ago. Which is part of why the backlash to the current one is so strong - no one expected the game to be as as dramatically bad as it is, especially since it's drastically worse than previous games in pretty much every way.
