You don't have to be Stalin or Hitler to be on the far end of the spectrum. "Far" is relative.

Bernie Sanders is an actual socialist. I think Elizabeth Warren says things that make her popular among Bernie fans without necessarily believing them. For that reason I think she would make a good fairly left-wing President, but based on what she says she supports GREATLY increasing the scope of the federal government. All of the major Democrats are anti-gun rights to varying degrees. On the other hand, Trump is pretty right wing economically but he's also VERY authoritarian, which explains why he supports tariffs at his discretion.

Politics in America is getting more and more polarized, so there are fewer people with views on both sides of the spectrum (like the dude who just got reelected in Louisiana) with political power today. It's not surprising that a moderate conservative or even a moderate liberal would look at Warren's call to more than double the federal budget to pay for universal health care and be concerned.
