if you feel you're that screwed just go out, vote D down the line for Congress, and ignore president.

at the very least you can guarantee the executive having some limits.

Yeah I mean this is solid, and people should pay more attention to local downballot races in general. If there's a good senate or house candidate I don't see why they should necessarily pay the price for party fuckery.
