Are you upset that Sony isn't continuing to make games in the same series for a decade+ and created new IPs instead? You brought up Jak and Daxter, but Naughty Dog stopped making Crash Bandicoot games to do those, and the IP that followed was Uncharted. Ratchet and Clank got a movie and game just a few years ago. Others like SOCOM and Twisted Metal were just getting less and less well received. There's a reason to move on from IPs.
