There's little question life has improved for virtually everyone else since Trump took office. This is generally always the case for any country, to be fair. And I don't mean that as a perjorative against your comment. It brings up something to think about, and cuts both ways. Unless your country is in the middle of a civil war/massive civil unrest or a complete economic collapse, the average quality of life is almost always going to improve.
