The Dem leadership who would do literally anything to stop Bernie 100% want Trump over him, because with Trump in charge they stay relevant. On the other hand, if Bernie takes over the party, Democratic voters might realize how irrelevant the current leadership actually is. These people were falling over themselves to get Bernie to play nice and repeat over and over that he would support the nominee whoever it is, and now they BARELY bother to hide their disgust with him when they go on TV. --- Phantom Dust.
