You are changing your statement now. Because if you went around telling a bunch of people where I live they are white(about 90% hispanic) you'd probably find yourself murdered within an hour.

"the majority of hispanics consider themselves white."

these mean the same.
by the data, we are majority white.

and again, when i say majority i don't mean just the largest number, i mean to the tune of 50%+.
