On the flip-side, your potential future king apparently had it, only had mild symptoms, and is perfectly fine now, in spite of being in his 70s.

Much like the regular flu, it's hard to generalize symptoms and intensity too much, because different people react to things in different ways, so it's hard to say "These are the exact symptoms and the exact degree to which you'll suffer from them for these specific amounts of time" to anyone wondering what to expect if they catch it.
