Topic | Amazon is lying about their delivery dates |
streamofthesky 04/06/20 5:58:47 PM #1: | So, I ordered some items on 3/28, about 10 days ago. The entire time, including right now as I speak in the afternoon/evening hours of April 6th, it has shown a delivery range of April 6-9. It has yet to even be shipped out. And I don't have prime, so the free shipping method itself is 5-8 business days all on its own (ie, to meet that April 6-9 range, it should have left the warehouse 5 days ago). It's clearly not going to arrive in the date range they claim or even close to it, nor do I have any indication when it'll ever actually get started. I've contacted the help via chat and just get some run around about "priority for COVID-19 essential items." Which...fine... If you're not gonna ship my stuff for a month or whatever due to priorities, then that's your call. But don't lie to the customer and claim otherwise. When I contacted the help, I asked a simple question...so when is the actual delivery estimate? That's it. That's all I want to know. I could've ordered this stuff separately from different stores and it'd have arrived by now. And now I'm kinda trapped in a sunk cost situation where if I do cancel and buy from elsewhere, I've gotta wait another nearly two weeks when maybe it really is shipping from Amazon soon....
