My point was, they probably don't even know. They're dealing with a situation literally no one anticipated and which nothing in their company (or any other company) was ever really designed to deal with.

Their estimated delivery dates on the site are likely automated, with the site itself calculating out the assumed shipping/delivery time based on a number of pre-established factors, but it's unable to account for the unpredictable delays caused by being 20 minutes away from the end of the world.

And presumably, they have neither the time nor motivation to try and change how the coding on the site works to compensate for that, because, you know, they're already stressed past capacity because of the aforementioned "everyone's getting literally everything delivered" and "20 minutes away from the end of the world" things.
