In ANY workplace with any amount of profesionalism, the a****** who doesn't refill his work station with furniture and reactives once his shift is done gets a reputation, very quickly, that he is a lazy piece of s*** and the word gets around. And if you inherit a workstation from a guy who's left the position, it's quite reasonable to complain about him leaving stuff understocked or messy, but you still have a professional responsibility to restock it and clean it up before you need those supplies.
