TV shows teach little kids stuff like colors and counting. You can have them do arts and crafts and just limit the amount of time that they watch tv. Banning it altogether will just make it harder for them to connect with other kids. I didn't have a problem with number 2 except I think its cringey and weird to force them to get a car with a manual transmission. If they don't care about cars then its much more convenient for them to use an automatic. And once again you could just limit the amount of sweets and junk food that they eat. What's the problem with having it sometimes? Even if you forbid them from eating it, they'll just get it from their friends or buy it for themselves eventually
