But then anime loses a LOT of points because most intros have literally nothing to do with the actual series they're the opening them to, and include tons of batshit lyrics and gratuitous English (and they have a tendency to age really poorly).Not sure why an intro has to explain what the show is about as long as the show itself does a good job of that. But even if you think so, that's a wildly broad and sweeping claim. I could spam this topic w/ examples of intros that do fit the anime if I had to... The weird random English does happen but again far from universal like you imply. As an example, watch this and tell me what the anime is about, based solely on the music (and without knowing what it really is in advance):Well, I do know it in advance, so...
