Morrowind is undoubtedly the most immersive and most well written of them all, best RPG, most freedom. Old graphics and combat style turn people off. Skyrim has a beautiful landscape and graphics, best combat. That's about it. Oblivion is inferior to Skyrim mechanically, but its actual quest content is superior.
