Or you know, the very worst case scenario

I wouldn't call that worst case scenario myself but I understand your concern.

The difference to me is while COVID is a serious risk, AND increased risk to pregnant women, it's not a choice, it's not something you're willingly putting into your body. Whereas getting the vaccine is.

Now before you think I'm some anti-vaxxer. Don't get it twisted. I'm a frontline worker in Healthcare and I still haven't received my shot yet and I'm pretty cheesed off about that. But I also recall conversations with multiple nurses, one of whom was pregnant and declined the vaccine at the time and explained the risk and complications of it to me.

Again, at the end of the day it doesn't matter what I say. Again, it's obviously your choice. But I respect the concern of your family members, after all, you may be a grown woman, but you're still your mothers child. Your decisions are your own and not all parental advice is wisdom. But that's a two way street. Something to think about as you become a parent yourself. I wish the best for you and your baby regardless.
