Riding on the Swiss mountain passes is easily one of the best feelings in the world, especially when going on multiple day tours with friends with good hotels and good food. Even just single day rideouts are awesome. On free days I've crossed the alps towards Italy in the morning, had lunch in northern Italy, ride around the mountains there, and make it back home (Zurich) in time for dinner taking a different route over the alps back up north. Luckily also a great activity to do during the pandemic! Way less commuters! Due to cold weather, it's only really enjoyable 6 out of 12 months but in those months it's the greatest thing ever :D.
