Every winter I contemplate if I should quit riding but then the weather starts getting warmer and nice and I forget about all the contemplations and enjoy the hell out of riding.

Some really nice views of the Swiss alps in the background and a nice cherry blossom I had to get in the shot in the third pic.

Born in the US but lived here most of my life. I love it here, I couldn't imagine living/raising my family anywhere else. The seasons are very vibrant and distinct from each other which is great.

mountain roads can be better than sex if you're really hyped up and in the mood to throw that bitch DOWN through the corners! I gotta slow myself down though before I die I have this one part of our mountains with like a 20% grade with wide corners....I've hit over 100 mph on it and its such a blast but eventually a deer is going to jump out and I won't even be able to slow down to 90 let alone stop. The forward momentum flying forward combined with the grade would probably mean I'll have a 50-100foot drop before I even hit the road.

Favorite thing is to crank the bike up to 90-100 mph and then pop it out of gear (My bike has a neutral after 6th gear for rolling down mountains) and let it coast down the ridiculously steep grade. It makes it feel like a runaway bike and I love it. Such a thrilling feeling of freedom!

Ride fast have fun but please be safe man one slip up and it's likely all over.

Yeah it really is nice. Living here and riding a motorcycle is the perfect combination, one of the best places in the world to own a motorcycle, great landscape with beautiful scenery and very high quality roads too.

I don't do much winter sports these days anymore but when I do I snowboard.

What did you ride and why'd you stop?

Riding on the Swiss mountain passes is easily one of the best feelings in the world, especially when going on multiple day tours with friends with good hotels and good food. Even just single day rideouts are awesome. On free days I've crossed the alps towards Italy in the morning, had lunch in northern Italy, ride around the mountains there, and make it back home (Zurich) in time for dinner taking a different route over the alps back up north.

Luckily also a great activity to do during the pandemic! Way less commuters!

Due to cold weather, it's only really enjoyable 6 out of 12 months but in those months it's the greatest thing ever :D. Whereabouts do you go riding?

Fair enough. What made you cut back/stop? Just lose interest or what?

I only had a 600 zx6 Ninja. It was the sport-touring model though, so it didnt have the typical crotch rocket or riding posture. Youd still get sore after a couple hours though. Definitely not made for long rides.

Stopped riding because I almost got ran over three days in a row, on my way to work. People just dont see you like they do in a car

Entirely jealous of dudes who get to ride. My mother would quite literally kill me if I ever bought a motorcycle so I have to stick with sports cars to prevent death.

Amazing shots TC, getting Skyrim vibes from the third pic.

I hear you. It's a risky activity and I do see myself "retiring" from motorcycling one day, although I couldn't tell you when.

I cut from snowboarding back mostly because it's a very time consuming activity. You essentially spend at least 3 hours each way traveling and organizing for a single day of snowboarding, so it obviously makes sense to go for several days. My second daughter was born last June so time has become even more tight. Motorcycling is something I can do for 2-3 hours and have a great time so I tend to stick to that.

Thanks! Yeah got really lucky with the lighting and the tree in full bloom.

I bought it brand new back in 2015 for the equivalent of about $5000. I probably put about $3500 into parts over the years: Front and back fender, front and back light, front and back indicator lights, powder coating various parts (fenders, tank cap, etc.), handlebar, muffler, heat tape, chain guard, mirror, and the seat. I did most of the work with a friend who's quite savvy which likely saved me a couple of grand in labor, but it'd be a total of around $8500.

Yes, I get the same feeling here. I've thought about stopping but when I see other bikes I can't help it but go right back.

I guess the style my bike mostly resembles would be a scrambler, even though the tires are street tires since I never go off road. I love the cafe racer style but they're not comfortable for longer rides. When we go on big trips there are days where I ride 10+ hours per day which wouldn't be possible with a cafe racer. A scrambler has a more comfortable upright position thanks to a relatively high handlebar.
