My nephew came with us to Hawaii when he was 1 and he behaved like an angel the whole trip except when we took him to the beach. He got way too hot and threw an explosive tantrum. He was fine at the hotel pool, but the beach heat was too much for his little head lol.Aww poor little guy. Yeah the heat can be harsh and you cant put sunscreen under 6 months old. We took my niece to the beach when she was a few months old. We had a baby tent for her where she just slept. It was great and keeping her away from the sun. She did great there.
