Which is a wonderful mentality to have, when getting lax too early can spike the whole thing worse than any prior point, thus sort of defeating the entire point of the last year and a half anyway. The only thing worse than shutting everything down and quarantining is shutting everything down and quarantining and having it turn out to have been a complete waste of time. Eeyup. I understand why the CDC made their announcement, but it really was irresponsibly premature, given how the populace was guaranteed to react to it. This will almost certainly result in further outbreaks that didn't have to happen. I get that people are sick of it and it's really tempting to latch on to any apparent hope of being free of it all, but giving up early is only going to waste everything that has been sacrificed up until this point. We need to see this through, and that has to mean erring on the side of caution. --- This is my signature.
