The teams I used on the first day today (with the ones I borrowed as supports in italics) were:

1) Shiori, Saren, S-Pecorine, Makoto, Jun
2) S-Kokkoro, Monika, Kaori, Makoto, Jun
3) Suzuna, Mitsuki, Kokkoro, Mimi, Makoto

All of them are at 5 stars except for S-Kokkoro, Kaori, my Jun, and one of the borrowed Makotos. For the third team, I wasn't sure if I should put one of my tanks in front of Makoto or if Makoto herself could take the hits well enough without a tank so I could use another attacker.

Would a 5-star Kaori support be better than a 4-star Makoto support for one of those teams? And what else would you suggest in terms of rearranging or changing (aside from building a magic-based team, which I mentioned I don't have the characters for) to make these teams better?

It depends on the boss, as there's no truly one-size-fits-all solution due to mechanics and stats. One of the easiest meta comps you can build for this though would be Shiori/Saren/Makoto/Kaori/Jun. Comparing it with the results of your first comp today, using this comp would have provided more damage whether you borrow Makoto or Kaori.

I think Shiori/Saren/Makoto/Kaori/Jun would work best based on the other comps you posted. Second comp you can run Suzuna/Mitsuki/S.Kokkoro/Makoto/Kaori (5 star Kaori preferred here, since she's in the front with no protection).

Third comp is a bit more challenging to figure out though. Maybe Kokkoro/Mimi/S.Pecorine/Makoto plus one more damage dealer somewhere. Not sure who else you have or have built, but Djeeta, S.Tamaki, Tomo, Hiyori, Arisa, and Eriko should be viable options. Ayane or Tamaki are also possibilities, though I think they're somewhat weaker than the previous mentions. Shinobu can be used as an extra DEF shred, but she's really easy to mess up when building (best results at 8-5 with Skull skill unleveled at the moment), so probably not worth the effort. If you find that the front line is dying too quickly, then you can use a tank for the fifth slot instead, with Miyako or Nozomi being the best options there.

The document that Funkydog linked is a good starting point for auto comps for this CB at least. It's what I based my advice above on, at the very least. There's always trial runs available if you want to check damage for a comp before spending an attack, which might be helpful for figuring out your third comp against a boss.
