This has no effect on the Lapras who if anything seems to enjoy the sensation of water splashing across its body as it approaches. However, the splashed water unintentionally flies off and splatters the trainer standing on the shore. Getting water all over her lovely clean clothes and a second splash catches her right in the face with unpleasant freezing cold water. At first she squeals loudly, then she looks pissed off as she stomps her foot and her expression turns into one of irritation and anger. Trainer: "HOW DARE YOU! OH THAT'S IT! LAPRAS! Use Confuse Ray!" Instead of finishing you off with another body slam, the Lapras suddenly blasts you with some kind of beam. Your vision becomes glazed, you're dizzy and can no longer comprehend what's happening around you. Your senses are overwhelmed in a frenzy of unclear sounds, smells, sights, sensations and as you flail around in a state of total disorientation, you inadvertantly ram yourself headfirst into a rock and hurt yourself. You're now critically injured and feel like you're going to faint at any moment, all you can think of is your grandfather when suddenly something is thrown at you. Feels like a bit of plastic or aluminium. Rather petty of them really you think to yourself. Then everything goes dark, you don't feel the water anymore. You're no longer confused but realize you can barely move. Even the slightest physical exertion feels like trying to run up a staircase. Oh no! It's a pokeball! You're trapped inside and you feel it constricting and getting tighter. You're moments away from being captured! What do you do? A. Resist. You gotta get out of this thing. B. Submit.
