One thing I love about the books that no one seems to mention was how they took a seemingly one sided villain from book 1 and then showed us the other side in book 3. In particular they showed a flashback from one character's POV in book 1, then from the other character's in book 3. It was brilliant. The show won't be able to do that because it already sort of shows us what that character is like.
