Plenty of public safety measures also demand that you do things. Requiring food service workers to wash their hands, for example, or welders to put up screens to protect passers-by from the light. Sometimes, ensuring people's safety does require an action. Alternatively, if you'd rather frame everything as "don't do this" for some arbitrary reason, you can frame vaccine mandates as "don't go to a bar without being vaccinated." --- This is my signature.
