It's like horror is all around you but within you is peace, tranquility, harmony; you don't let the outside horrors affect you but you don't ignore it either. It's something that travels and stays with you, like something you can't let go of but you remain pure in spite of it all. I am not a fan of gambling and have no desire to be part of that culture, and a lot of the aesthetic choices lead into a cycling of gambling and spending (more like wasting) your money. Every space fills my imagination to the brim, sometimes with horror, sometimes with melancholy, and sometimes with joyous memories and wistful nostalgia. Putting it into words is meaningless though, I think everyone could get something different out of it, or nothing at all. Perhaps an empty space is just an empty space; perhaps someone's childhood home is just that; but I like to think that places hold power - our memories echo on every wall, yet others' experiences fill up pages worth of history, not gone, but waiting to be discovered again just beyond every dry wall, blank office light, or ugly brown carpet.
