Pregnancy is the biologically expected outcome of sex. We have, through human ingenuity, found a way to mitigate that outcome because we enjoy the numerous secondary motivators that encourage us to participate in sex, but it's still the expected outcome. Sex is a reproductive act.

Pregnancy isn't a side-effect, it's the biologically expected outcome. The side-effects are the pleasures associated with sex that serve as a means to motivate us to engage in reproduction.

Its a reproductive act, but reproduction isnt the only reason people do it. For example, for me, its not ever a reproductive act as I am a male having sex with males. Reproduction is a consequence that can happen during sex. But not always, even without contraceptives. Having sex DOES NOT mean you are giving consent to something else to live using your body. Its a consequence that sometimes happens. And just like how you can take away consent at any point during sex, you can do the same with the thing living inside you
