But I have no idea where to go from the series after LaD. Sort of, yeah. It is designed to be an excellent starting point so while it has references to the other games it doesn't really require knowing anything from any of the other games. And because it's first in the time line it doesn't really have the ability to spoil anything, just foreshadow future events. The only other one that you can do as a "first in the series" is K1, but it is hard to really recommend it over 0. As it is a remake of the first game it obviously is completely stand alone, but it also really shows its age story-wise and it has changes that might feel a bit out of place without having played 0 (as they were added/changed to make the original in-line with 0's retcons). --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome?
