That's consistent with most scientific thought, although there has been some degree of backsliding on what we thought we knew about the big bang of late. I'm just pointing out that nothing in astronomy/physics is as settled as people like to believe at times.
I'm actually all about this. Also, im pretty sure there are many questioning the big bang altogether now. Our understanding is still extremely limited and we'd be arrogant to assume we have any real clue as to what the beginning actually was or if there even was a beginning at all. The scientific community pretty much concluded big bang based on it being a plausible explanation for a few things we've observed. It's likely nowhere near the truth
