The cosmetics are how they fund ludicrous executive paycheques and inflate their stock price to make shareholders happy. The continuous updates are just to keep people engaged for longer so there are more opportunities to squeeze money out of them. Characterizing this kind of monetization as anything other than manipulative, predatory greed is either blatant corporate propaganda or an example of staggeringly naive ignorance. --- This is my signature.
