So long as this isn't abused to refuse making multiple Joycon repairs for the same person (that "multiple complaints for the same case" line could be interpreted that vaguely if they wanted), I'm all for it. Far, far too many companies treat dealing with abusive assholes as an unavoidable part of customer service. Any company that lets staff refuse service to them deserves major props for that, in my books.
It will be abused horribly by Nintendo.

I don't have an issue with it as long as it's not too loosely applied. Companies have legal obligations to honour warranties. While a belligerent customer should be refused service, the "excessive demands" part could be interpreted in a lot of shady ways.
Oh it will be.

This is pretty standard. Most call centers enact a policy where the representative can hang up on overly abusive customers.

This isn't Nintendo outright refusing to service their systems.
It will turn into that. Nintendo is garbage when it comes to customer service. I mean, they shat out the Switch knowing that it is garbage compared to the PS5 and XBox Series X.
