The story is good and it isn't hard to get it to run provided you can get through the ancient menu systems for account creation and subscriptions. You can even download and pre-install the game rather than waiting for the old-ass client to take 24 hours to install. The trust system and Windower/Ashita options are another layer of depth that make the game infinitely more playable than it was back in the day.

It's one of my favorite games of all time and I occasionally pick it back up every couple years to check in, but always end up with a case of "you can't go home again." Even though the vast majority of content is soloable, there's so much of it that it still makes me feel like I'd have to give my life to it in order to get anywhere.
