Bottom line is stealing is wrong in both cases. At least that went to court. When somebody shoplifts either nothing happens to them or like another poster mentioned who steals they get the opportunity to do it again and again. How do you equate with one theft being justified and one not?

By sheer virtue of making petty shoplifting your soap box while those same corporations rake in millions via stolen wages and face no consequences (in ANY jurisdiction, not just the same ones where shoplifting isn't as harshly prosecuted), and brushing away every mention of wage theft as being somehow of less consequence.
