4/5 of my worst customers look and sound like a stereotypical Texan, but are from eastern WA. Meanwhile, one girl in another department at work actually is from Texas, and is nothing like them in accent nor attitude or habits. I guess people who are all going to do the same flavor of suck are going to be the same flavor of person. *shrugs*

I recall being stuck overnight in Moses Lake. A 93 year old toothless dishwasher at a diner kept chatting up my friends and I. He marveled that Canada was only 'a few hours north'. Then told us a story about 'catching a bull snake down by the river and throwing it at a couple of fat ladies'. It was like being transported in time back to 1870s Mississipi.
