Oooh it's also getting meh to bad reviews. :X It's actually worrying how SE makes so many mistakes all the time. I love FF and I don't want to see it disappear because they make so many blunders in other areas.

I imagine they can afford the blunders off their flagship brands. Even if people want to say retroactively Final Fantasy games stopped being good past a certain point, they apparently do sell well enough to keep on making them with the same big teams and budgets. Unless somehow Square Enix's investors are collectively trying to do the least intuitive thing possible over and over until they go bankrupt, I don't think they are in in particular danger of going under. There may come a point where they might have to change their model, but apparenlty it works good enough atm.
