As a delusional ghost that loves being held, this may be the only love song created for people like me. And "you are de dog face" can go in two different ways: the reasonable interpretation where the singer is being a difficult tsundere-type and insulting their loved one (which works for me) or you can pretend it's all literal and we've got a Ghost x Furry romance going (which also works).

I don't want to know what the actual lyrics are or find a better translation. This song is about a delusional ghost that wants to be held and I love it and I will not listen to any arguments about how this is clearly not an accurate version of what the lyrics are intended to be.)

!A rather on-the-nose nomination considering the literal machine translation provides exactly the type of thing I want, but I love what I love.

(First Reaction: A fairly nice pop-punk song. Punk isn't a genre I have much experience with (...okay, so I don't have a lot of experience with any genre specifically), ao it's kinda nice having a simple introductory song. It's nice.)

!Hey, this is on the WWE 2K22 soundtrack, isn't it? Kinda funny that I had no connection to this song when it was nominated, but I've heard it often enough in other sources now that it's incredibly familiar... well, after hearing this so many times in the game, I've developed a bit of a fondness for this track. Not really fair to all the other songs that don't have a tendency to greet me whenever I turn a game on, but it is what it is.

(First Reaction: The type of atmospheric instrumental that I enjoy and usually kinda love at the least.)

!Ohhh yeah, this type of soothing atmosphere is EXACTLY what I need right now. There are certain other songs I was convinced was going to be at the very top of the charts after the Revised Scores, but this... this is definitely coming in first place on the second listen.

...well maybe not "definitely", but there's certainly not much room for a song to overtake it.

[Final Thoughts: And now I'm back to "kinda loving" this song. It's definitely the right tone, the right instruments, the right genre, but... I'm not connecting with this even half as strongly as the other songs at the very top of the list. Great song, I love it and would love to try more of this artist to see if they have anything else like it, but it's not quite at that highest tier right now.]

(First Reaction: "In My Life" is still my favorite Beatles' song, but this may actually be my second favorite.)

!One of their better songs, but "second favorite" feels like it's overstating things a tad... I suppose, objectively speaking, "Here Comes The Sun" should be in second place for being one of the few sun related songs I enjoy... but I've also listened to "Norwegian Wood" quite a bit since whenever we covered Rubber Soul at Rank The Tracks and torching everything is much more appealing to me at this exact moment.

...Aaanywho, I think I was much more into this song at some point in the past... I recall being really drawn to the reverb in his voice in that t~u~r~n y~o~u o~n part, though I'm not as captivated by it tonight for whatever reason.

[Final Thoughts: I'll always kinda love this song--and pretty much all of The Beatles' Greatest Hits. It's not really new or exciting, and I'm missing a personal attachment to make me truly fall in love with it, but it's a famous & top-tier song for many reasons.[
