More than that, though, it's simple risk analysis: Pulling a kid out of something that is trivially risky "for their safety" while continuing to do things that are far more dangerous just doesn't make sense. Everything is a matter of risks and benefits, and the benefits of being socially better-adjusted than most home-schooled kids generally outweigh the minute risk that somebody shoots up their school. If I were going to be so overprotective as to keep my kid safe at home forever, there was never really any point in having one in the first place. Ozmose posted...
