I think All Star is a quintessential turn of the millennium song along side Avril Lavigne's Skater Boy and The Backstreet Boy's I want it that Way. BSB, now that's a quality band. I want it that way is a classic but it's kinda like Radiohead's Creep or Modest Mouse's Float On in the sense that it's a great song but it's overplayed and they have dozens of other songs that are just as good if not better. Their newest album, DNA, is wall to wall bangers. One of my problems with shrek specifically has to do with your opinion that all star is a quintessential turn of the century tune. Shrek's humor and music selection is basically just pandering to the lowest common denominator. 'You people love Ricky Martin and The Matrix!
