TopicPokemon S/V is such a buggy, untested mess that some people can't even complete

Same here. I've regretted buying S/V (I should have learned my lesson after Sw/Sh and BD/SP but open world gameplay led to misguided hype) and I'm completely done buying Pokemon games until I see what they're actually like. This DLC not only didn't fix any of the substantial problems of the base game, it made some of them worse and introduced new problems on top of them. It's not worth the money, and it's not worth the headache.
Yeah, and it's really sad, because while S/V is a mess in many ways, I still had fun discovering all of the new Pokemon for myself (and I really appreciate that they stopped showing most of them prerelease like they did with X/Y and Sun/Moon), and the prospect of discovering new Pokemon will always be the appeal for me in a new game. But at the same time, if S/V is a sign of how future games will be made on a technical sense, then I don't know if I want to keep supporting the games if that's the path they're going in.

It also doesn't help that I didn't even bother doing my usual breeding/optimizing for Pokemon, mainly due to the lack of the Battle Tower or similar but also because of the game's issues. At this point in my life, should I continue on, I feel like I might just stick to just playing the games casually and not worry about optimal builds for competitive battles anymore.
