For a nine-movie series, I'd want something to be different as a result of it all. The ST, when all is said and done, was "a new bad guy showed up (same as the old bad guy) and we beat them". And then I guess life in the galaxy goes back to normal. One idea TLJ floated that I liked was "what would the galaxy be like without the Jedi or the Sith?" but it didn't follow through. It didn't go hard enough to break the cycle. I don't necessarily know what that would look like for the Force-sensitive peoples of the galaxy. Would there be a new singular group?
