If you think about it, it's some of the most honest years of your life.

As adults we generally need to behave in a certain way to function in society, to keep a job and stay out of jail. School kids represent what humans really are. Hateful bullies who dogpile on the different and the weak. It's instinctual.

Forcing a bunch of people with nothing to lose and no sense of responsibility into the same building for 13 years is a bad idea and bound to create some trauma.
Working crappy jobs, the hateful bully part doesnt disappear.

School faculty at least seem more likely to defend students who have been harmed than places where one is employed.

Aside, anyone else hate how k-12 was like you cant do that in college or as an adult about trivial things like eating in class or drawing on the side of minor assignments. Like, I wouldnt turn in anything formal with doodling on it, but if I had handwritten notes at my job that had a poorly-drawn Spider-Man fighting goblins and random squiggles on the sides, not a soul would care. So long as one didnt disrupt the class and turned in your assignments, my professors didnt care what you did. One person raised there hand to ask use the bathroom and the professor was like youre old enough to just go to the bathroom if you need to go.
