Two, why even have a spoiler warning if you want people to still hide discussions?

Because if I don't put the spoiler warning in the topic title, then (by the site's rules) we would have to keep all of the discussions under spoiler tags for the entire life of the topic, even well after everyone who's interested in it has already watched it, which is annoying. Putting the spoiler warning in the topic title but also mentioning the 24-hour waiting period in the opening post to give people time to watch the episode is the best compromise, and like I said, it's worked like that for several seasons with no issues.
