Phantom of the Opera Rent Hamilton people can feel free to tell me I'm wrong, but I feel Rent really set a boundary in terms of eras of Broadway and made such a significant impact in terms of expressing a demographic that was key to Broadway but mostly kept hidden away. I can accept West Side Story as a golden age representative, but I really think a Rodgers and Hammerstein should take the spot.
